1st Day (Guwahati to Kaziranga) 190 km | 5 hours approx:
We welcome you on your journey into the North East upon your arrival at the airport/station In Guwahati. We shall proceed towards Kaziranga, a UNESCO world heritage site. It is home to the world’s largest population of the one horned rhino as well a varied combination of flora and fauna. It’s approximately a five hour drive from Guwahati.
2nd Day (Kaziranga Jungle Safari) Western and Central Range:
Your day shall start early today with the Kaziranga Elephant Safari in the Western Range [Bagori Range]. Post lunch, we will continue with our safari from Kaziranga Central Range [Kaziranga Range] for the Kaziranga Jeep Safari... The Jeep safari offers you some spectacular sighting of the Rhinos herd of elephants and many other species of the wild flora and fauna in this massive grassland. We shall be staying overnight in Kaziranga.
3rd Day (Kaziranga to Meghalaya) 183 km | 4.5 hours approx:
Today after our breakfast we visit the surrounding places of interest like the orchid garden, tea estates. Hereafter we shall travel towards the 2ndt leg of our journey to Shillong (Meghalaya) and en route make a stopover at Barapani Lake also known as Umiam Lake surrounded by the Sylvian hills. Once we arrive in Shillong check in at the home stay and spend your day/evening walking the local markets and enjoy the local cuisine.
4th Day (Shillong to Cherrapunji) 54 kms | 2 hours approx:
The day to Cherrapunji starts with a scrumptious breakfast. We shall be dedicating the entire day to visit the wonderful and awesome natural waterfalls like Wei Sawdong Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, and Seven Sisters falls. We shall be visiting the Double Decker Root Bridge. You can choose to extend your trek to the Rainbow falls with the assistance of a local guide upon an additional payment of rupees fifteen hundred (1500). You will end your day with a stopover at Shillong peak which allows a great view of Bangladesh plains. We shall be staying overnight in Cherrapunji.
5th day (Shillong – Mawlynnong) 78km | 3 hours approx:
Today after our breakfast we shall be travelling to to Mawlynnong for a day long excursion. This village is named as the cleanest village in Asia. Nearby we will visit the Jingmaham Living Root Bridge. Revel in the pristine natural surroundings and marvel at the scenic sites.
Next, we will leave for Dawki, 34 km from Mawlynnong Village bordering Jaintia Hills, which is best known for the scenic Umngot River, which has been designated as the cleanest river in India. Get on a boat or kayak and be dazzled by the crystal clear waters. We shall leave for Shillong today and stay overnight.
6th Day (Shillong – Guwahati) 100km | 3 hours approx:
We start our day with a visit to the Lady Hydari Park which is a well maintained park with a mini zoo. It is as a Japanese style garden lined with orchids and rhododendrons. We shall proceed with our onward journey to Guwahati. Post checking into a home stay you can chose to pay a visit to Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra a cultural museum displaying the artistic excellence of Assam and the north-eastern region. It has open air theaters, eateries and emporiums. You can spend your evening on a cruise on the Brahmaputra. Finally, return to the hotel and get some well deserved rest.
7th Day (End of Journey):
Today on the last day of your journey we shall on our way to the airport/station visit the famous Ma Kamakhya Temple. We wish you many more memorable trips to the North East. Au Revoir.
